Happy (belated) Halloween~!

Happy Halloween guys! It’s already November 1st in the US, so I’m kind of late on this. It’s the thought that counts, right??? In case anyone wanted to know, I actually DID dress up as Gilbert this Halloween. Apparently, I looked like a stalker to my friends though… So yes, I followed through on my temptations to do so.

A Whole Mess of Fall 2009 + Misc. Stuff

This is me making up for not doing anything since the middle of September. I thoroughly enjoyed my mini hiatus though, so be glad that I actually decided to do this.

Without further ado, the pros and cons of the fall 2009 anime season, plus a few catching up that I need to do:

-Kämpfer-

Pro – That’s one great cast list…

Con – Natsuru, have you even passed puberty yet?

Thoughts -

So… was I the only one who actually liked this? I mean, what’s to hate? The plot is pretty good (it’s not that original, but still…), there’s a great cast of seiyuu (as mentioned before), the character designs are solid, the music is pretty good, and, to you guys out there, BEWBS. I’d have to say though, Nomad did a crappy job of progressing the story in the first episode. First, Natsuru finds that he’s a girl. Then, he wakes up and *thinks* he’s having a dream, and 30 minutes later, he turns back into a girl and is almost completely fine with it? I’m NOT going to believe that. I guess EVERYTHING can’t be perfect. But as I’ve said, Kampfer is still a pretty good series as of episode 2. The con I put up there isn’t even that bad. The voice better suits him in episode 2 than it did in episode 1. Still, the animation looks like it’ll get WAY worse as the series progresses, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Good Timing, Paradichlorobenzene

So, I was watching Kämpfer episode 2 (y’know, instead of blogging it) and, for some random reason, I press to open Mozilla Firefox on my computer. One of my saved tabs happened to be of Paradichlorobenzene by Kagamine Len. It starts playing, and I nearly crap my pants, because its playing at the most… right time: When Shizuku is first talking to Natsuru and Akane. Shizuku’s threatening (but not as creepy as it could’ve been) look coupled with Paradichlorobenzene’s first few piano notes (along with the anime’s actual BGM) is enough to scare the shit out of me. It was so conveniently timed that I shat bricks all over the place.

I felt as though I HAD to share this before I completely forgot about it. ^^;

Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Film Announced for 2010

EDIT: Replaced the video with something a little more… official…. kind of…?

The final episode of the “renewed” airing of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series ended on Friday with a teaser of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Suzumiya Haruhi no Shōshitsu) film. The film will open in Japanese theaters in the spring of 2010. More details will be provided on the anime franchise’s official homepage at a later date.

I SMELL TROLL! But hey, to each his own. ┐(‘～`)┌

Even though I think the chances of this actually coming out at all, let alone in spring 2010, is low, I’m sure as hell excited!

Happy 1st Anniversary!

I really don’t give a damn if Miku’s birthday was, like, a month ago… -_-

Some things that have been going on lately:

1. It’s our first anniversary here at Insanity Ensures!!! Actually, it was yesterday, but I had a feeling I would forget… To celebrate this achievement, enjoy getting nothing special…
2. Even though it’s not Miku’s b-day, it was MY birthday on the 21st! Happy @$!#@%th birthday to me!!
3. So… anime blogging… That hasn’t been going so well lately. I’ve got too busy of a schedule, but as of now, I’m torrenting ALL of the episodes I’ve missed in the past few weeks. I’ve got about 10 files in Bittorrent’s queue!!! So, there’s a chance that I might do some catching up in the next week or so, but I’ve got to yukkuri shiteitte ne for now.
4. Until the fall anime season starts (around October 1st), expect little to no posts, which won’t be that hard to endure, since it’s only a few more days away.
5. Speaking of yukkuri shiteitte ne, I was OBSESSED with Touhou a few weeks ago… I don’t know what happened with that, but I haven’t played Phantasmagoria of Flower View (⑨ is the strongest(!)) in 3 weeks now.
6. URA-OMOTE LOVERS IS THE GREATEST SONG I EVA HEARD.

Pandora Hearts – An Analysis

I have recently stumbled upon, what I presume to be, THE GREATEST ANIME SERIES EVER KNOWN TO MAN. Let’s take a look at what makes Pandora Hearts EFFING AWESOME.

Here’s a tip KyoAni, next time you want to draw chibi characters, make sure the heads aren’t grossly misshapen and/or complete piles of shit. Lucky Star style character designs would be nice. kthx
